Turn highly commended at the Yorkshire Digital Awards 2009

Last month we were honoured to be shortlisted at this year's Yorkshire Digital Awards 2009 for best B2C website, and despite not winning our category we were delighted to be 'Highly commended' by the panel, an accolade which is rarely given out.

The black tie event, held at Savile's Hall at the Royal Armouries in Leeds, rewarded businesses with nine awards, which were judged by a panel of independent judges from across the industry.

The evening was compèred by former BBC journalist and presenter Nik Wood and Simon Hill, executive director of business for Yorkshire Forward, delivered a keynote speech emphasising how far the industry has progressed since the awards were established a decade ago.

Everyone at Turn and Yorkshire Cancer Research who attended the awards had a fantastic evening and hopefully next year we will go one better!

Turn wins 9 way pitch to design Henshaws society for the blind website

We're really pleased to have won the website pitch, particularly with the high number of agencies involved.

Its a great opportunity to work with a large regional charity and adds to our existing and expanding portfolio of charity clients.

Our team are really excited about building a bespoke CMS, specifically for the use of the visually impaired, to sit behind the website. We have already developed a pioneering accessibility application which will aid visually impaired users to customise their viewing experience.
