"We needed a full service agency to innovate and support our brand offline and online. Turn's passion, intuition, creative and technical capability have played a major part in our success. Turn have been, and I hope will continue to be, an instrumental part of the 'Kiss Katch' brand. All of their work is done to a meticulously high standard which previously we have been unable to find elsewhere in the marketplace. Their role in the creation of 'Kiss Katch' has been invaluable."

brief
To create a 'cheeky' and 'easy to love' childrens clothing brand.
our approach
The client's idea behind 'Kiss Katch' was to 'create an irresistible wardrobe for girls aged 2-10 years that not only looks and feels gorgeous, but is also practical, easy to wear and needs as little ironing as possible'.
The branding was key to the success and it was clear to us from the outset that the brand would benefit from having its own 'personality'. We decided to concentrate on the drama of the game 'kiss katch' as this summed up the core function of the clothing - children running around outdoors and having fun. We started by hand drawing the typography to give a unique and humble personality, we decided that a very graphical route would benefit the brand and have the most impact so we kept with black and white and yellow as the key colour. We then researched various styles of illustration and commissioned our chosen illustrator to create 4 individual characters from a tight pre-determined brief set by ourselves.
'Kiss', 'Katch', 'Tig' and 'Tag' were eventually born after a long labour! Each character has it's own individual personality and appeal to boys and girls. We wanted complete flexibility with the clothing line as the client expressed from the beginning that a boys range could follow. Kiss, Katch, Tig and Tag, appear throughout the entire clothing range. They bounce through the collection embroidered subtly on hems, pockets or frills or as bold prints on the front of T-shirts.
